General Pacific, Inc., headquartered in Portland Oregon is pleased to announce our recent selection as the new distributor of Badger Meter for Oregon, Washington, SE Alaska and Northern Idaho. General Pacific (GenPac) has been in the utility distribution business for 42 years. Because of GenPac’s extensive relationship with utilities throughout the Northwest, it was a good fit for both Badger Meter, Inc. and GenPac.
In order for GenPac to be able to provide the highest level of service to our customers, we have hired Jon Koch as our water meter specialist. Jon has been in the water utility business for over 15 years, spending 13 years with the City of Portland water department and several years on the distribution side of the business. Jon’s focus will be on water meters and associated products, including Automatic Meter Reading Systems (AMR). Our inside sales person, Lori Teel, has over eight years experience in the utility business and will be dedicated to water meter sales.
GenPac will be supporting the following AMR technologies: Badger Meters and associated meter products, Badger Meter Orion AMR system, Itron with ERT and handheld or drive by technology, Itron ERT fixed network and DCSI with TWACS and power line carrier technology. It is our goal to present different technologies to you, the customer, allowing you to make the best decision for your utility. GenPac will work with you on your meter needs and stock accordingly
